Louisa Ann Wiedhofft christening 1835

Louisa Ann Wiedhofft was born on the 18th January 1834, but interestingly although the 1851 census has her dittoed as being born in Middlesex, the 1881 & 1891 census show her as a British subject born in Paris, France. She was christened on the 1st March 1835 in the church of St George the Martyr, Bloomsbury, Holborn (as were all her brothers and sister).

July 4th 1837 sister Mary was born in Bloomsbury, London.

25th December 1848 brother Frederick Augustus married Amelia Pike at St Marks Church, Clerkenwell.
12th May 1850 niece Amelia is born to Frederick Augustus and Amelia.

Brothers Charles and Johann George were not shown in the 1851 census and may have been making their way across the Atlantic.
1852 brothers William and Alfred head off across the Atlantic to New York aboard the ship Hibernia.
20th January 1855 niece Charlotte born in Hoxton.(Fredk & Amelia) but died on the 22nd of April and was buried at Abney Park on the 29th April.

Here we note that Frederick was recorded as being born in Manahiem (Mannheim) Germany. Frederick has aged 10 years since the previous census whereas his wife has put on 12 years, Louisa 8 and Mary only 7 years.

4th January 1862 brother Charles marries Ellen Caine of New York in Lake, Illinois, USA.
Apx. 1862 brother Alfred Henry marries Isabella Turner from Preston, Lancs. in the USA (probably Illinois).

Marriage Louisa Ann Wiedhofft & William Rayner Filler

Louisa Ann married William Rayner Filler on 7th June 1862 in St Giles Church, Camberwell. William was born in the September quarter of 1838 in Kensington, London (St George, Hanover Square), son of William Filler, a Licenced Victualler.

Their first child:- William James Wiedhoffe Filler was born on the 15th March 1863 and he was christened at Holy Trinity, Clapham, South London on the 17th May 1863.

Another son Frederick William Filler was born on the 5th January 1865 in Clapham, South London (once again the name Frederick) He was also christened at Holy Trinity Church.

27th May 1865 sister Mary Wiedhofft married Glasgow woollen agent William Fleming at St Giles Church, Camberwell.

Louisa's father died on the 19th December 1865 in Camberwell and was buried just after Christmas (28th) at Nunhead Cemetery.

Son Robert George Filler was born on the 8th March 1867 in Clapham, South London and was christened at Holy Trinity Church on the 2nd of June.

Daughter Louisa Frances Charlotte Filler was born on the 13th of August 1869 in Clapham, South London and was christened at Holy Trinity Church on the 28th of November.

We see here that William's widowed mother is living (or at least staying) with the family at the time of the census.

Daughter Florence Amelia Filler was born at some time before the 13th April 1873 in Clapham, South London and was christened at St Giles Camberwell.

Louisa was present at her mothers death in 1874 and it was she who registered the death giving her address as Falmouth House, Lyndhurst Grove. Peckham.
