The information about Hannah and Oliver comes from another societymember, James BECK, of Colorado. He pointed out that Hannah was mostlikely a STOAKLEY. He describes them as a large, landed, non-conformingfamily of North-East Hunts. "They have an ample supply of wills, but adearth of register entries..."

"Edward was clearly a man of some standing in the village for he was achurchwarden and his name appears on two of the bells in the church. Thethird of the five bells is inscribed (ref VCH Hunts vol ii p246) "EdwardDring and Oliver Hills, Churchwardens. Joseph Eayre, St Neots, fecit1765" and the fifth "Allen Cowper Rector. Edward Dring and Oliver Hills,Churchwardens, 1765".
