Bexhill Seafront Relays 2001
The 22nd of September saw the first Bexhill Seafront Relays. It was well attended with clubs from all over the south of England, and carried out in a warm and friendly atmosphere that seemed to be enjoyed by all. All of the races started at the sailing club and along the "prom" to the bottom of Galley Hill and back, with the senior men also running a loop in the opposite direction to South Cliff. The presentation of the awards took place at the Bexhill Rowing Social Club. It all took place on a glorious sunny day and the French market was in town to make it a worthwhile day out for all the family.
BREAKING NEWS - SUCH WAS THE SUCCESS OF THIS YEARS EVENT, HASTINGS AC HAVE BEEN ASKED TO PENCIL IN 21ST SEPTEMBER 2002 FOR THESE RACES TO FORM PART OF BEXHILL'S CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS.
